Award Categories:

Start-Ups - In such a fast-paced ecosystem, start-ups are emerging daily with fantastic innovations and technological breakthroughs across a range of AI technologies. The Best AI Start-Up award focuses on the business itself as well as the technology and is designed to raise the profile of those leading the field in both technology, product market fit, and scale-up potential.

AI in Healthcare: Artificial intelligence is transforming the healthcare industry by improving diagnostics, predicting outcomes, and changing the way doctors think about providing care. Major organisations such as IBM are focusing their efforts on this industry, while new start-ups are forming frequently with the purpose of solving complicated healthcare problems. If your company is developing AI that revolutionises the way in which humans can care for each other, this award is for you!

AI in Agriculture: Over 58 percent of the rural households depend on agriculture as their principal means of livelihood; agricultural exports constitute 10 percent of the country’s exports and is the fourth-largest exported principal commodity category in India. AgriTech in India has become a booming field with numerous startups working with technologies such as data analytics, machine learning and satellite imaging, among others, enabling farmers to maximise their output. A clutch of tech incubators in India are also supporting innovation in agriculture, especially in the rural areas.

AI in Education: The world of academia is becoming more personalized and convenient for students thanks to recent advancements in artificial intelligence (AI). The technology has numerous applications that are changing the way we learn, making education more accessible to students with computers or smart devices if they’re unable to make it to class. Students aren’t the only ones who benefit as AI is also helping to automate and speed up administrative tasks, helping organizations reduce the time spent on tedious tasks and increasing the amount of time spent on each individual student

AI in Smart Cities & Infra: The challenges of developing brownfield cities are different from greenfield cities, but common to both is the understanding that technology, especially emerging ones like AI and Internet of Things (IoT), will be the cornerstone of realising India’s aspirations of building the ‘intelligent’ cities of tomorrow. The basic premise of AI is the development of intelligent machines that are capable of high-level cognitive processes like thinking, perceiving, learning, problem-solving and decision-making.

AI in Smart Mobility & Transport: The transportation domain is beginning to apply Artificial Intelligence (AI) in mission-critical tasks (for example, self-driving vehicles carrying passengers) where the reliability and safety of an AI system will be under question from the general public. Major challenges in the transportation industry like capacity problems, safety, reliability, environmental pollution, and wasted energy are providing ample opportunity (and potential for high ROI) for AI innovation.
